The empty canvas or the empty sheet of paper represents possibilities. It is the silence necessary for the poem to be called forth,… the void before the mark takes its shape. You would think that empty space or silence is easy to achieve, but, unfortunately, it is exceedingly difficult. One must battle fiercely for silence or an empty space… and once achieved, one must be vigilant to sustain it.

I shoot every day wherever I may be, observing architecture, people, shadows, light, experience, sound, color, time, and moments. While navigating the documentary aspect, I am also engaged in my conceptual exploration. Rememories by Dan45 Hernandez Opening Reception
For the last thirty years, Dan45 Hernandez has been collecting, cataloging and storing objects. Such objects include: Pez dispensers, cassette tapes, and band tees. These objects are directly tied to his memories of people, places, and events. In this exhibition, he shares some of these objects from his collection in the form of drawings, sculpture, and paintings. Each artwork is made in a way to capture the essence of the object and the distortion of memory.

No Room at the Inn by David Baird
View the virtual tour, here.
Regardless of your feeling regarding the Bible, it’s stories continue to have an enormous impact on the world in which we live. Many of us were exposed to diminished versions of these ancient stories as children and as adults, never bothered to critically re-examine the text and its deeper meanings.
David Baird Exhibition
No Room At The Inn
Baird explores the stories that lurk between the lines of Bible stories we may know from our childhood but may not have re-examined as adults. The exhibition is the artist’s attempt to speculate, explore and capture the struggle and human emotions not described in the text.
